Terms & Conditions1 - Sending & Return of Your Source Media You are advised to use a delivery service, requiring "signature on delivery", when sending your source media to us. We will ALWAYS use 'Royal Mail Recorded' (signed for) delivery to return your tapes and new DVD copies. Depending on your instructions we would be happy to use Royal Mail 'Special Delivery' (timed) (or an equivalent delivery service) providing signature on deliver and usually web-based tracking facilities and insurance. There may be additional charges for services other than the standard 'Recorded' delivery. Any disputes regarding loss or damage of your goods during transit should be taken up directly with the delivering company. 2 - Safety of Your Source Material We always take exceptional care with your tapes. In the unlikely event of us causing damage to or loss of any of your material, we will pay up to £45 compensation per tape. Please Note: This does not apply to tapes that have arrived in a damaged or unusable state or tapes that are damaged during playback due to defects or general age. 3 - DVD Player Compatibility & Guarantees The DVD disks that we produce are high quality industry standard DVD-R and DVD+R disks. 3.1 - DVD-R & DVD+R disks play in most DVD players (or DVD-ROM drive in PCs). However you should be aware that recordable disks working in your DVD player may or may not work in other players. You can obtain compatibility information by contacting your equipment reseller or manufacturer or visit www.dvdrhelp.com to assess compatibility prior to placing your order. ALL DVDS SUPPLIED ARE PRODUCED IN THE DVD-R FORMAT AS STANDARD. IF YOU REQUIRE YOUR DVD IN DVD+R FORMAT PLEASE REQUEST THIS AT THE TIME OF ORDERING. 4 - In Case Of Problems With Your DVD Disk If the DVD disk we produced is not correctly recorded or your compatible DVD-R or DVD+R player is unable to play it then you must inform us within 7 days of receipt by writing to admin@video2dvdtransfers.co.uk or our postal address, describing the problem along with the make & model of your player. We will investigate immediately and if necessary will ask you to return the DVD(s) & reproduce your DVD(s) free of charge. We can not however be held responsible for damaged / mishandled disks or incompatible players. It is the customer's responsibility to protect the supplied DVDs from scratches or other damages. 5 - Your Responsibility WE WILL NOT ACCEPT and it is your responsibility to ensure, that the source media supplied SHALL NOT contain material classed as 'Prohibited Content' and must comply with current laws of shipping audio/visual material. Prohibited Content: Generally, Prohibited Content includes (without limitation) any of the following types of Content: a. Content we believe is abusive, deceptive, pornographic, obscene, defamatory, slanderous, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate. b. Copyrighted material that is used without the express permission of the owner. c. Content that violates or encroaches on the rights of others. d. Content or other material that contains viruses, worms, corrupt files, Trojan horses and other forms of corruptive code or any other content, which may compromise our service. e. Content that advocates illegal activity. f. Content that harms minors in any way. Video 2 DVD Transfers reserves the right to pass any infringements of this Prohibited Content that we may receive to the relevant authorities if it is deemed necessary. 6 - Money Back Guarantees Any "Money Back Guarantees" if made, exclude any incurred delivery charges both inwards and outwards unless stated otherwise. 7 - Disclaimers Video 2 DVD Transfers will not be liable for any economic losses (including, without limitation, loss of revenues, profits, contracts, business or anticipated savings), any loss of goodwill or reputation, or any special, indirect or consequential damages (however arising, including negligence) arising out of or in connection with this Agreement. 8 - Currency All prices quotes are in UK Pounds (GBP) unless stated otherwise. If you wish to pay in Euro or other currencies please contact us for applicable currency conversion rate at the time of placing the order. 9 - Methods and Terms of Payment Credit/Debit Cards: We currently accept a number of credit/debit cards and payments can be made in GBP either securely on our website www.video2dvdtransfers.co.uk or by telephone on 0870 609 3017. UK Cheques/Postal Orders: We currently accept Cheque or Postal Order in GBP made payable to:
Foreign Cheques: Cheques in other currencies are accepted subject to bank surcharges of up to £10.00 depending on the currency. Wire Transfer: You may wish to pay by direct transfer from your bank to ours. Please contact us for our bank account information. 10 - Over-Payments & Under-Payments Should your order be underpaid by less than £10, we will continue to carry out your conversion and will subsequently bill you for the outstanding amount due. For under payments above £10 we will contact you to obtain authorisation prior to performing your conversions. Should you over-pay us by £2.00 or more, we will offer you a credit equal to the amount over-paid for your next order. Alternatively you can request a cheque or postage stamps for the value of overpaid amount less £2.00 to cover handling costs. Over-payments of £2.00 or less are NOT refunded due to handling costs. 11 - Postage Charges Postage charges are your responsibility when sending your source media to us. Our price calculator and order form shows the prices of the various return carriage options. 12 - Risk Free Delivery Services For additional safety of your valuable video tapes we can offer you a risk free form of delivery for returning your videos and DVDs. This involves us returning your DVDs and Videos in two separate consignments. First we will send your newly produced DVDs and once you have confirmed delivery and are happy with the transfer, we will then forward your original material. This ensures that at least one good copy of your precious source material is safe in one location and should reduce any anxieties you may have regarding the risk of loss during the actual delivery process. 12.1 - If you are using this service, for safety purpose, we ask you to confirm receipt of your DVDs and confirm that you are satisfied with the conversion. This should be done in writing either by sending an email to admin@video2dvdtransfers.co.uk or writing to our postal address, within a reasonable number of days of receipt (usually 7 days unless you are away). Once we receive this acceptance of the DVDs, we will forward your original tapes. 12.2 - In the unlikely event that your DVDs do not reach you and a signature was not obtained, we will reproduce your DVDs from your original tapes absolutely free of charge (applies to deliveries within the UK only). This service is only available by prior arrangement and WILL incur an ADDITIONAL 'second' delivery charge.
